Do The Green Thing is a fantastic new initiative that launched today. In their words it is a community that's here to help as many people as possible in as many countries as possible to do the Green Thing.
Worth visiting for a number of reasons:
1. Obviously a good thing to do
2. The approach is great. Environmental issues are big so make it feel smaller, personal and fun. So, for example, October's green thing is all about encouraging people to walk more. To that end there is a video that shows the things you notice when you walk rather than drive, downloads of music and spoken word mixes specifically designed to make the walk more fun, and the ability to see the impact you, and the whole community, are making.
3. Lots of great attention to detail. It's brilliantly written (see the image above)
4. It's the brainchild (at least I believe) of a brilliant ad man, Naresh Ramchandani (HHCL/St. Luke's), who's making a difference outside the agency world.
Go and visit and take part.
