I've just returned from a quick trip to London (where, as always it was good to get the time to say hello to Russell and Mark among others). Reading the press, I came across a quite fantastic piece of television that happened the week before.
Gordon Ramsay, the excellent if somewhat opinionated, chef hosted a quite brilliant simple idea on Channel 4 - a live cookalong. Before the show you were told the menu, there were training videos online and tips were shared before a live show where you cooked a three course dinner in real time with Chef Ramsay. This seems to have been very successful - there were reports of ingredients selling out in supermarkets across the land. To me, it's a very smart, useful programming idea and perhaps not a bad idea for brands - using film to be helpful, useful, involving and interactive (in the real sense of the word).
